Call of Duty 4

Just days after Infinity Ward hinted at it in a forum post, Activision confirmed this morning that Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare will indeed be revealed this Saturday, April 28th. The reveal itself will take place sometime during the NFL Draft on ESPN, which begins at 1PM EDT.

Aside from confirming that the next Call of Duty will be set in a more modern environment (because, you know, the subtitle is Modern Warfare), we still know very little about the game. Will it be set in the present day, or in a "near future" setting like the Ghost Recon franchise? Will it focus on real-world events like the previous installments (which could be a sensitive topic given today's world climate), or will there be an alternate version of the world we live in with a fictional conflict to fight?

One assumption we do feel confident making though is that the game will at least come to all major consoles (Xbox 360, PS3, Wii) and PC, given the success of Call of Duty 3 on multiple platforms last year. A PS2 version wouldn't surprise us either, given that platform's continued success despite being so last-gen.
